Are you suffering from chronic pain? You've tried everything from physical therapy to traditional medicine, and now you're resigned to living like this? A few years ago, my hand pain got so debilitating that I had to leave the workforce– until Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) changed my life. Chronic pain can sometimes become a habitual or stress response. Based in neuroscience, and backed by randomized clinical trials, PRT is a system of psychological and mindfulness interventions that helps the brain “un-learn” chronic pain, and break the fear-pain cycle. In PRT, a lot of the work is in noticing sensations in the body, processing your experience of them, and finding new ways to relate to your pain and affected body parts. We also build up a sense of safety somatically through internal and external resourcing.
